Case Study: Torquay United
We worked with Torquay United to provide them with a portable building solution that met their requirements, on time and on budget.
Torquay Utd were redeveloping a stand at their Plainmoor ground and required a new changing room unit to replace their old building.
The new solution had to comply with the Football League guidelines and be:
- Durable
- Water tight
- Secure
- Cost effective
It had to be large enough to function as a changing room for the home and away teams and serve as a treatment room.
Torquay Utd discussed their requirement with several suppliers and chose Dainton because of our competitive prices and expertise.
Our experienced and friendly staff were able to offer advice and assistance from start to finish. We recommended two new 40' x 12' plastic coated steel portable buildings, customised to meet their requirements.
We worked closely with Torquay Utd to define how the buildings would be customised. Once the specifications were agreed, floor plans were drawn up and signed off by both parties.
This consultation process ensured Torquay Utd got the portable building solution they required.
We supplied Torquay Utd with portable buildings that were fitted with:
- Boilers and plumbing for showers, sinks and toilets
- Partition walls to create separate changing room and treatment areas
- Non-slip flooring
- uPVC windows
- High density insulation
- Lighting and power sockets
We delivered the units on an articulated lorry and organised for the Police to escort the wide load. We provided a crane to unload the units and position them in place. The units were then connected to the water and electricity services.
