At Dainton we strongly believe that our staff are our greatest asset and as such you will play an important role in the development of the Barnstaple self storage site.
A flexible, enthusiastic team player, keen to support the Manager and learn about the business, you will be in frequent contact with most of our customers: managing their accounts, selling merchandise, following up enquiries and advising customers on the best solution for their particular needs.
The role is predominantly up keep, appearance and ongoing maintenance within the site, so a general willingness to undertake physical work will be an essential requirement, as will a hands on practical approach to tasks.
The position will be varied and wide ranging so a 'can do' attitude is a necessary requirement for the successful candidate. Helping out at our other depots may also be necessary, both for holiday and sickness cover, as well as ongoing projects as required, so flexibility is important. Driving a forklift is part of the role, training will be provided if you do not have a forklift license. Computer literacy and strong communication skills are also essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to be self motivated and have the ability to work unsupervised.
Working hours and pay
You are required to work 26 hours per week (over 4 days which will include Saturday and Sunday), however more hours may be required from time to time as detailed above. The annual pay is £10,559 subject to attendance.
Paid holidays are 28 days per annum pro rata.
You will preferably hold a full driving license and live within 10 miles of the Barnstaple self storage site.
