Dainton Group Services Support The Children's Hospice South West
7th January 2013
We are pleased to announce that we have chosen The Children's Hospice South West as our charity of the year for 2013.
We wanted to support a local South-West charity this year and decided the Children's Hospice South-West would be a very worthwhile cause.
The Children's Hospice South West provides hospice care for families of children with life-limiting conditions. The charity has three hospices, Little Bridge in North Devon, Charlton Farm near Bristol and Little Harbour in St Austell, Cornwall.
We aim to work closely with the charity over the next 12 months to raise as much money and awareness as possible for a really good cause. We already have donation tins in our self storage branches in Devon and Cornwall and will be taking part in some fund-raising activities later this year.
The hospice organises fund-raising events across the South-West, including fun runs, fire walking, cycling and abseiling challenges so there should be plenty of opportunity for us to raise some money through sponsorship. We hope to tell you about some more charity fund-raising events soon.
If you would like to support Dainton's fundraising activities then we have a fundraising page on The Children's Hospice South-West web site chsw.org.uk/dainton for accepting donations online.
Why we chose The Children's Hospice South West
We are a family run business so the well being of children was something that our staff could relate to. The charity has hospices in North Devon, Cornwall and Somerset and charity shops in many of the towns and cities that we have branches in.
How you can support The Children's Hospice South West
